2010
In the spring of 2010, a British led team will ski from East to West across Greenland on a route that has hitherto never been attempted. On our way, we will also attempt to climb some previously unclimbed peaks.
The route is in excess of 800 kilometres across the world’s second largest icecap. We will travel on skis throughout and our expedition will be unsupported: all of our food, fuel and equipment will be man-hauled in sledges behind us.
Welcome
There will be no dogs, no kites, just human effort.
‘One has to go through a little hardship now and then to enjoy life properly. If you don't know what cold is, neither do you know what it is to be warm.‘
(Fridtjof Nansen 10 October 1861 – 13 May 1930)
